(she/her)

Hi! I’m Hope (she/her/hers). I am an LPC providing counseling services in-person in Baton Rouge and via Telehealth across Louisiana. I am an LSU alum, a Ragin’ Cajun, and a Baton Rouge native that just recently started to appreciate LSU sports. I’m passionate about learning anything I can, and collecting fun facts is one of my hobbies. I also crochet, read, and cater to the every whim of my two rescue pups.

I graduated from LSU with my Bachelors in psychology in 2016 and from ULL with my Masters in counseling in 2019. I have worked across residential, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient settings. Notably, I began my clinical practice in residential substance abuse treatment at the start of COVID; this experience encouraged me to practice with adaptability and flexibility.

I implement a trauma-informed, systemic approach with clients. My primary modality used in sessions is dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which is based on the philosophy of dialectics, or “the synthesis of opposites.” This means spending a lot of time looking at the shades of gray in life, and learning how to feel comfortable with the discomfort we encounter in life. DBT also helps with learning emotional regulation skills, communication skills, and boundary-setting skills.

I strive to tailor sessions to my clients’ needs and goals in a safe and authentic space. You are the expert in your own life and your own experiences; I am here to support you in the journey. I firmly believe that therapy is political. There are a myriad of factors that bring someone to therapy, and it is imperative to recognize that some of those factors are systemic, social, economic, and more, and not just a list of symptoms. I am LGBTQ-allied, and I am passionate about working with sexual minority communities, including LGBTQ+, ethically nonmonogamous, and kinky individuals.

Hope is not accepting new clients at this time and does not keep a waitlist.
